We are pleased to inform you that the Nutrition and Phytomedicine Laboratory, Department of Physiology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (India) is organizing the 2nd International Symposium on Medicinal and Nutraceutical Plants from 25-27 November, 2009, in collaboration with International Society for Horticulture Sciences (ISHS), Belgium. The ISHS, dating from 1864 and formally constituted in 1959, has more than 7000 members representing 150 countries

The main aim of the symposium is to provide a common efficient academic platform to the persons/groups involved in research on various aspects of Medicinal and Nutraceutical Plants. It is our high hope and endeavor that, apart from Horticulture Scientist and Botanist the symposium will be attended by scientist/groups from Modern Medicine, Ayurveda, Sidha, Unani and other systems of medicine and Analytical Chemists. Such kind of interaction of the researchers will helpful to initiate interaction among different research disciplines for development of integrative and collaborative research approach to the subject. The symposium will also provide the platform to explore the present knowledge on the subject, to spot lacunae, to identify potential area and issues for future research.
